Types Of Skateboard Trucks

Standard Kingpin Trucks (SKP)
• The most common type for street and park skating.
• Great for ollies, flips, grinds, ledges, rails.
• Balanced turning and stability.
• Example: Independent, Thunder, Venture.

Reverse Kingpin Trucks (RKP)
• Taller trucks with the kingpin facing outward.
• Best for cruising, carving, downhill, and longboards.
• Offer deeper turns and smoother carving.
• Example: Paris, Caliber, Bear.

Low Trucks
• Closer to the ground.
• Best for smaller wheels (50–53mm) and technical street tricks.
• More stable for flip tricks, but less turn radius.

High Trucks
• Sit higher off the ground.
• Fit larger wheels (54mm and above).
• Better for transition skating, bowls, and vert ramps.
• Give more turn capability than low trucks.

Hollow Trucks
• Feature hollow kingpins and axles to reduce weight.
• Same strength but lighter for technical skaters.
• Common in pro-level setups.

Titanium / Forged Trucks
• Super lightweight and strong (premium option).
• More expensive, but durable for heavy skating.

Cruiser / Specialty Trucks
• Designed for cruisers, surfskates, or mini-boards.
• Often looser and designed for carving and pumping.
